The Hoosier Environmental Council, Reconnecting to Our Waterway's Pleasant Run Committee, and the SoIndy Quality of Life Health and Wellness Team are partnering to hold the clean-up along Pleasant Run on September 16 from 9:00 am - 11:30 am. There will be prizes for most trash picked up and most unusual item found!
Please bring work gloves. For those willing to work in the stream, bring. waterproof shoes. Volunteers will meet in the parking lot off of Pleasant Run Parkway just north of Raymond St, across form Garfield Park Community Church (743 E Pleasant Run Pkwy S Dr.).
The Hoosier Environmental Council is a nonprofit organization working to protect Indiana's air, land, and water and promote a sustainable future since 1983. Reconnecting to Our Waterways is a collective impact initiative that works to change the quality of life and ecology along Indianapolis waterways and surrounding neighborhoods. SoIndy Quality of Life is engaging eight Indianapolis neighborhoods south of downtown to implement a vision for equitable community development.
